就象是从好长的梦中醒来一样，快乐和悲伤都变得赤裸。」

《自由之后》为迷幻香菇于2015年成立以来第一张录音作品，力求将抽象的情绪藉由音乐为载体，构成鲜明的画面。以四首歌曲当作一个完整的故事线，描写一个人获得自由之后，在心境上的转变，希望能使听者身历「自由」的状态中，感受「自由之后」所带来的正面及负面情绪。其中〈自由〉描述追寻自由的过程；〈可以〉呈现自由中的情感状态；〈时间〉、〈变形〉两首歌曲则侧重于表现自由的代价，整个故事阐述了人心的矛盾，有别于我们一般对自由的美好想象。

迷幻香菇希望透过此张EP，提供给听者一些思考自由的不同角度，抑或是最单纯直接的感受。

“After freedom, we see who we are for the first time. It’s like waking up from a dream and everything becomes so vivid.”

The four songs in After freedom form a story which elaborates on the feelings of a free man. From seeking for freedom to paying the price for it, the story shows a contradiction in human nature and differs from the positive thought of freedom in general. We hope this album will take you through the journey and offer some new ideas about what freedom really is.
